ARCATA NAMED 2004 MINORITY CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR AT NASA DRYDEN, ARCATA EMPLOYEES HONORED
Kevin Petersen, NASA Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC) Center Director awarded Arcata the DFRC 2004 Minority Contractor of the Year Award for its outstanding performance on the Research Facilities and Engineering Support Services (RF&ESS) Contract. The award follows the Companys 2003 Minority Subcontractor of the Year Award for all of NASA.
As the RF&ESS contractor, Arcata plays a critical role in Dryden Flight Research Centers (DFRCs) mission success flight research. Arcata performs engineering, operations, maintenance, information technology, and multimedia services to support projects such as the X-43A hypersonic technology demonstrator aircraft that set a world speed record of Mach 6.83 - almost seven times the speed of sound - in March 2004.
Arcata was selected because the RF&ESS Team has really raised the bar in terms of professionalism, quality and service in both technical and management areas. In fact this is reflected in their most recent performance evaluation score of 95 out of 100, said Tim Wong, Arcatas President. I congratulate Jim Tilley, Program Manager, and each Arcata employees contribution to the success of the program. Arcata is proud to support NASAs mission.
