Arcata's 12th Annual Bowling Tournament Celebrates the Company's 30th Anniversary And Raises $7,980 for Nellis Support Organizations

On August 13, 2009, 111 Arcata employees and their family members bowled for fun at the Company's 12th Annual Bowling Tournament held at the Texas Station in North Las Vegas. However, this year the tournament had some new winners. In celebration of Arcata's 30th Anniversary, the Company decided to donate $0.30 to charity for each pin knocked down during the tournament. The two organizations selected to evenly split the total amount raised were: Operation Warmheart and the Nellis Child Development Center.

These organizations were chosen for a reason. Arcata's first contract began in 1979 to provide Specialized Range Instrumentation System Support to Nellis AFB. Since then, company has continuously provided range engineering, operations and maintenance, logistics support for the Nevada Test and Training Ranges. In addition, Arcata has worked for the 414 Combat Training Squadron (CTS)) providing Red Flag mission debriefing and analysis support since 1997. Tim Wong explained, "In honor of our 30th Anniversary, we selected two Nellis AFB organizations to be the beneficiaries of the tournament. Arcata is proud to be a contractor at Nellis supporting the 98th Range Wing and the 414 CTS and we felt this was a perfect opportunity to thank our employees, celebrate our 30th Anniversary and show our gratitude to the men and women of Nellis AFB."

The evening included a light dinner and birthday cake. Kids received goodie bags and played on special designated lanes. In the end, everyone had a reason to celebrate. The award winners are listed below:
