The next greatest increase in donations (33.8%) came from those Arcata employees working on the J-Tech contract, Red Flag contract and the Las Vegas Corporate office; their donations went to the United Way of Southern Nevada. The non-profit agency that received the most directed donations was the Nevada Child Seekers.
This year the 75 employees participated in the campaign, just one less than last year. However, the average amount of each donation increased from $237.64 to $297.49. 67 of 75 participants earned an Arcata logo shirt for pledging an annual donation of $156 or more.
"Arcata employees have demonstrated their strong commitment to supporting their local communities during the toughest of economic times. The increase in donations is a clear indication of their compassion and concern for others. I believe Arcata employees should take a great deal of pride in what these results say about the people who work within our company" said Arcata Executive Vice President Nancy Wong.
