April 2004 Steve Parcel, an Arcata videographer on the NASA Research Facilities and Engineering Support Services Contract at Dryden Flight Research Center, has won the Agencys highest award for documentation videography for 2003.

Parcel took first place in the documentation category for his work recording a flight of the Helios Prototype solar-electric aircraft in Hawaii in June 2003. The aircraft was equipped with a supplementary experimental fuel cell power system. In addition to recording extensive ground preparations for the flight, Parcel visually documented the flight itself from a chase helicopter,
positioned in a safety harness partially outside the crafts open side door.

James Bilbrey, an Arcata Videographer at Marshall Space Flight Center, received Second Place in the documentation category for his video entitled: Mission to Titan Testing Ablative Materials for Aerocapture.

The three categories - production, public affairs and documentation - were evaluated for professional excellence, technical quality, originality, creativity within restrictions of the project, and applicability to NASA and its mission.
The awards were presented during a NASA reception at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas April 20.
